Pre-owned men's clothing from mid-range to high-end brands, from jackets and coats to knitwear, shirts and jeans.
Men's clothing by category
Outerwear is divided into two pages. Men's jackets and vests covers the shorter styles, from canvas work jackets and bomber jackets to quilted jackets, puffers and gilets, while men's coats covers trench coats, car coats, overcoats and parkas. Knitwear has its own page, men's jumpers and knitwear, and men's sweatshirts covers cotton jersey and fleece. Shirts are divided into men's shirts, polo and rugby shirts and T-shirts and long sleeves, and men's trousers and jeans completes the range.
Men's clothing by brand and style
The larger brands have their own men's pages, among them Carhartt, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Dickies, Stone Island and The North Face. The same clothing is also grouped by style: designer clothing, classic, workwear, outdoor, streetwear and casual.
Sizes and measurements
A size label says little on its own, because sizing differs between brands and between decades. Comparing those numbers with an item that already fits well gives the most reliable result. The method is explained in the guide to measuring pit to pit. Trousers are sized as waist by inseam in inches, for example 34x28.
Because every item is pre-owned, most items are available only once. Women's clothing has its own page, women's clothing, and How leverene works explains authentication, condition and returns.
Questions about men's clothing
How is the condition of an item described?
Every item has a condition label, and any imperfection is stated in the condition description of the item.
How are prices set?
Prices are set per item, up to 80% below the original retail price.
How should pre-owned clothing be washed?
The care label inside the item gives the instructions for that item. Cotton is best washed cold and air dried, because tumble drying is the biggest single cause of shrinkage in cotton, and wool is dried flat. More is in the guide to washing and caring for clothing.
