Pre-owned Carhartt WIP jumpers, hoodies, T-shirts and jackets, from crewneck sweatshirts to chore coats and Detroit jackets.

What Carhartt WIP is

Carhartt WIP is the European company that makes clothing under the Carhartt name under licence. Edwin Faeh began importing Carhartt workwear into Europe in 1989, Work In Progress was established in 1994 and the first own collection followed in 1997. Its collections take American work clothing as a starting point. A Carhartt WIP item is therefore from 1994 or later.

Jumpers, hoodies and T-shirts

Crewneck sweatshirts in cotton-blend fleece and knitted jumpers have a ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, often with a small chest logo. Hoodies have a drawstring hood and a kangaroo pocket, and T-shirts come with a chest pocket or a printed graphic.

Jackets

The chore coat is a boxy work jacket with large patch pockets and a button front, and some versions have a corduroy collar. The Detroit jacket has a corduroy collar and a zip front, the Santa Fe is a bomber jacket with a ribbed hem and cuffs, and the anorak is a pullover jacket with a half zip and a hood. All jackets are on the Carhartt WIP jackets page.

Size and measurements

Each item is measured at four points: across the chest from armpit to armpit, the length of the body, across the shoulders and the length of the sleeve. The method is explained in the guide to measuring pit to pit.

Carhartt WIP can be browsed separately for men and women. The American company has its own page, Carhartt. The difference between the two is explained in Carhartt or Carhartt WIP, and the Carhartt WIP guide covers the brand in more detail. Related pages are streetwear and workwear.
