Pre-owned Patagonia fleece, jackets and vests, from Synchilla and Snap-T pullovers to the Nano Puff and Torrentshell rain jackets.
Fleece
Patagonia gives its fleeces model names. Synchilla is a soft, thick polyester fleece, and the Snap-T is a Synchilla pullover with a snap placket at the neck and a chest pocket. Micro D is a thinner, lighter fleece. The Better Sweater has a sweater-knit face and a fleecy inside, and the R1 and R2 belong to the Regulator range of technical fleece made for active use. Most fleeces have a stand collar and a Patagonia patch on the chest.
Jackets and vests
The Nano Puff is a light, packable jacket or vest with synthetic insulation that keeps most of its warmth when damp. The Torrentshell is a waterproof rain jacket made with H2No, the waterproof standard of Patagonia. The Adze and the Guide are softshells, and the Down Sweater is a jacket or vest filled with down. The jackets have their own page, Patagonia jackets.
Shirts, polo shirts and trousers
Besides outerwear, Patagonia makes cotton polo shirts, plaid button-up shirts, T-shirts, chinos and jeans.
Size and measurements
Patagonia sizing has changed over the decades, and older fleeces are often boxier and shorter than current ones. The letter on the label is therefore a rough guide. Trousers are sized as waist by inseam in inches, for example 34x32. The method is explained in the guide to measuring pit to pit.
Fleece and shell care
Older fleece can show pilling, mostly under the arms and along the sides, and visible pilling is stated in the condition description of the item. On a shell, the DWR finish on the surface wears off over the years and can be renewed with a wash-in or spray-on treatment. Gore-Tex, Down and DWR explains what to look for.
The same items can be browsed for men and women. The Patagonia buying guide explains the models, and the guide to outdoor gear covers the fabrics and the brands. More outdoor brands are on the The North Face, Arc'teryx and outdoor clothing pages.
