How we measure the impact of an item

The figures show the water and CO₂e saved by buying this item pre-owned instead of a comparable new item.

Each figure is an estimate based on industry standards per product type and material. It is not a measurement of the item itself.

The calculation starts from the standard weight of a new item of the same type, including the lining and padding where present. Each part is multiplied by the average impact per kilogram of its material, from raw material to finished garment. Water includes the irrigation of the fibre and the water used for dyeing and finishing.

About retail prices

The retail price is the original price of the item when it was sold new by the brand. When that price is not known, it is the current price of a comparable new item from the same brand.

The percentage shows the difference between the retail price and the price at Leverene.
