A quilted jacket has diamond or channel stitching that holds a thin padding in place, which keeps it light enough to wear over a jumper or under a coat. A quilted jacket has a thin padding held flat by the stitching. A puffer jacket has a thicker filling of down or synthetic insulation in wider channels, which makes it warmer and fuller.

Can a men's jacket be worn by a woman?
