Pre-owned Ralph Lauren jumpers, shirts, polo shirts, hoodies and jackets, from the quarter-zip and the cable knit to the Oxford shirt and the Harrington jacket.
The brand
Ralph Lauren started in 1967 with a range of ties sold under the name Polo and added a full menswear collection in 1968. The embroidered polo player first appeared in 1971 on the cuff of a women's shirt and now sits on the chest of most Ralph Lauren clothing. In 1972 the company introduced its cotton polo shirt in 24 colours. The label inside each item names the line, such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Polo Sport, Lauren Ralph Lauren or Purple Label, and the lines are explained in the Ralph Lauren guide.
Jumpers and knitwear
Ralph Lauren knits its jumpers in cotton, wool, merino and wool blends. The quarter-zip has a short zip from the collar to the upper chest, the cable knit has twisted columns of stitches down the front and the sleeves, and the Polo Bear and flag jumpers have their motif knitted into the front. Jumpers have their own page, Ralph Lauren jumpers, and cable knits a separate one, Ralph Lauren cable knit jumpers.
Shirts and polo shirts
Ralph Lauren shirts are made in Oxford cloth, poplin and other cottons, often with a button-down collar, in plain colours, stripes and checks. The polo shirt is made in cotton, often in piqué, with a ribbed collar and a short button placket. Shirts and polo shirts each have a page of their own, Ralph Lauren shirts and Ralph Lauren polo shirts.
Hoodies and jackets
Ralph Lauren hoodies come as pullovers with a kangaroo pocket and as full-zip models, both with a drawstring hood. The jackets range from the Harrington, with a zip front, a short collar and a check lining, to bomber jackets, windbreakers and track jackets. They are on the pages Ralph Lauren hoodies, Ralph Lauren jackets and Ralph Lauren Harrington jackets.

Size and measurements
Ralph Lauren cuts differ between lines and production years, so the letter on the label is a rough guide. The method is explained in the guide to measuring pit to pit. The cuts and their measurements are compared in the Ralph Lauren size guide.
Items for men and for women have separate pages, Ralph Lauren men's and Ralph Lauren women's.

How can genuine Ralph Lauren be recognised?
On genuine Ralph Lauren the polo player is densely embroidered, with the rider, the mallet and the horse clearly separated, and the neck label and the care label match the line and the fabric. The seven checks are set out in spotting fake Ralph Lauren.
