Ralph Lauren started in 1967 with a range of ties sold under the name Polo. The first clothing for women followed in 1971, a line of tailored shirts, and the embroidered polo player first appeared on the cuff of those shirts. The first full women's collection came a year later, in 1972. Jumpers and knitwear

The cable knit has twisted columns of stitches down the front and the sleeves and is made in cotton and in wool. The crewneck and V-neck jumpers are knitted in cotton, wool and merino, some with a flag or a Polo Bear knitted into the front, and the quarter-zip has a short zip from the collar to the upper chest. Shirts and T-shirts
