Jumpers, hoodies and jackets

Knitwear and sweatshirts form the base of casual clothing for women. Lacoste makes jumpers and button cardigans in cotton or wool with the crocodile logo, and Carhartt WIP and Nike add sweatshirts and hoodies. The North Face adds puffer jackets, windbreakers and rain jackets, and Dickies work pants and Adidas track pants complete the range.

Size and measurements

Many casual items are cut unisex, and unisex sizes run larger than women's letter sizes, so the measurements are the better guide. Tops and jackets are measured at four points: across the chest from armpit to armpit, the length of the body, across the shoulders and the length of the sleeve. How should a sweatshirt be washed?
