What unisex means on this page

An item appears here when it has the unisex label. Many unisex items also have a men's or a women's label, so they appear on those pages as well. The label says who an item can be worn by, while the measurements show how it is cut.

Cut and size

Men's and women's sizes are not the same. A men's M is usually wider across the chest and longer in the sleeve than a women's M. The letter on the label is therefore a rough guide.

Each item is measured at four points: across the chest from armpit to armpit, the length of the body, across the shoulders and the length of the sleeve. Comparing those numbers with an item that already fits gives the most reliable result. The method is explained in the guide to measuring pit to pit.

Is a unisex item cut for men or for women?

The label alone does not say. The four measurements show the cut, and comparing them with an item that already fits is the most reliable way to choose a size.

Where are the men's and women's collections?

Men's clothing is in the men's collection and women's clothing is in the women's collection. An item with both a men's and a unisex label appears in both places.

Which condition labels are used?

Any imperfection is stated in the condition description of the item.
