Pre-owned women's jumpers and cardigans in wool and cotton, from cable knit jumpers and crewnecks to V-necks, turtlenecks and button cardigans.

Cable knit jumpers

A cable knit jumper has raised, twisted patterns knitted into the front, back and sleeves, which makes it thicker and warmer than a plain knit of the same yarn. Cable knits are made in cotton and in wool, and they are worn on their own or over a collared shirt. Ralph Lauren cable knits have their own page.

Crewneck, V-neck and turtleneck jumpers

The crewneck has a round, ribbed neckline, and the V-neck leaves room for a shirt collar or a necklace. The turtleneck has a high, folded collar and works under a coat or a blazer. Quarter-zip and full-zip jumpers add a zip from the collar or down the whole front.

Cardigans

A cardigan opens at the front, usually with buttons, and is worn over a top or a dress or as a layer under a coat. A shawl collar cardigan has a wide, rolled collar that runs down the front.

Size and measurements

Knitwear can stretch or shrink over the years, and a men's jumper with the same size letter is cut wider across the shoulders. The guide to measuring pit to pit explains how to compare those numbers with a jumper from the wardrobe.

Jumpers for everyone are under jumpers and knitwear, sweatshirts are under women's sweatshirts, and the men's range is under men's jumpers and knitwear. Women's knitwear by brand is on the pages for Ralph Lauren, Lacoste and Burberry.

Questions about women's jumpers

What is the difference between a jumper and a cardigan?

A jumper is pulled on over the head. A cardigan opens at the front with buttons or a zip.

How should a wool jumper be washed?

The care label inside the item gives the instructions for that item. Wool is washed cool or by hand and dried flat, so that it keeps its shape. More is in the guide to washing and caring for clothing.

How is the condition of an item described?

Every item has a condition label, and any imperfection is stated in the condition description of the item.
