Crewneck, V-neck and turtleneck jumpers

The crewneck jumper has a round, ribbed neckline and is worn on its own or over a T-shirt. The V-neck shows the collar of a shirt underneath, and the turtleneck has a high, folded collar that covers the neck. A sleeveless jumper is worn over a shirt as an extra layer.

Cable knit and quarter-zip jumpers

A cable knit jumper has raised, twisted patterns knitted into the front, back and sleeves. The extra yarn in those cables makes the knit thicker and warmer than a plain jumper of the same yarn. The quarter-zip has a short zip from the collar, and a full-zip jumper opens down the whole front. Cardigans

A cardigan opens at the front with buttons or a zip and is worn over a shirt or a T-shirt, or as a light layer under a coat. Cardigans are made in the same yarns as jumpers, from fine cotton to heavier wool.

Size and measurements

Wool holds warmth better than cotton and stays warm when it is slightly damp. Cotton knitwear is lighter and suits spring and autumn.

How should a wool jumper be washed?
