Trench coats and car coats

The classic trench coat is double-breasted, with a belt, shoulder straps and a storm flap, and it is usually made from cotton gabardine. A single-breasted version with concealed buttons is cleaner at the front and sits easily over a suit jacket. Overcoats, duffle coats and peacoats

An overcoat is a longer coat in wool or a wool blend, cut to be worn over a jacket and usually ending at the knee. The duffle coat has a hood and closes with toggles, and the peacoat is a short, double-breasted coat in heavy wool with wide lapels. Parkas
