Pre-owned designer clothing from fashion houses and premium labels such as Burberry, Canada Goose, Stone Island, C.P. Company, Prada and Christian Dior, from trench coats and parkas to jackets and knitwear. Lines, condition and sizing across the houses are explained in the designer buying guide.
Coats and parkas
Coats form the core of designer outerwear. The Burberry trench coat is made in gabardine, a tightly woven cotton, and is usually double-breasted with a belt and the Burberry check on the lining. Burberry and Christian Dior also make car coats and wool overcoats, which are cut straighter and have no belt. Canada Goose parkas are filled with down and made for cold weather, most of them with a hood.
Jackets
Stone Island jackets have the compass badge, which is buttoned onto the left sleeve and can be removed. C.P. Company is known for the lenses set into the hood or the sleeve of some of its jackets. Prada makes lightweight nylon jackets, and Burberry adds bomber, quilted and Harrington jackets.
Knitwear and shirts
Designer knitwear is made mainly in wool and cotton, from Stone Island crewnecks with the badge on the sleeve to Burberry jumpers and cardigans and knitwear from Yves Saint Laurent. Armani adds shirts and blazers.
Size and measurements
Each house cuts differently, and Italian, French and British sizes do not line up exactly, so the size on the label is a rough guide. Each item is measured at four points: across the chest from armpit to armpit, the length of the body, across the shoulders and the length of the sleeve.
Designer clothing can be browsed for men and women, and by brand on the pages for Burberry, Canada Goose, Stone Island, C.P. Company, Prada, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and Armani. Guides are available for Burberry, Stone Island and Canada Goose.
