The brand

Ralph Lauren began in 1967 with a range of ties sold under the name Polo and added a full menswear collection in 1968. The embroidered pony appears on the chest of many items in this collection.

Jumpers form one of the two largest groups in the collection, together with shirts. Many are cable knits in cotton, wool blends or merino, and others carry intarsia motifs such as the Polo Bear, flags or an equestrian horse and shoe.
