The Active jacket

The Active is a hooded work jacket with a full zip, rib-knit cuffs and hem and, on many jackets, kangaroo pockets at the front. Most are made of canvas, with a few in denim. The Carhartt logo patch sits on the chest or the pocket, and some jackets have the embroidered name of a business. Many show signs of earlier use, such as faded or washed canvas or paint marks, and wear of that kind is stated in the description of each jacket.

Lining and colours

The lining differs per jacket. Quilted lining is the most common, followed by fleece, and some jackets are lined with sherpa. A few blue jackets are made of denim with a plaid flannel lining. Five jackets are Sierra models, lined with fleece, sherpa or flannel. The colours range from black, blue and brown to beige, navy, purple, red, green, grey, orange and yellow.

Size and measurements

Sizes run from XS to XXXL, and size L is the largest group. Jackets labelled L measure between 64 and 71 cm across the chest, XXL between 67 and 78 cm and XXXL between 77 and 84 cm. Each jacket is measured flat at four points: chest, length, shoulders and sleeve.
